The ELOBIO project and the European Innovation Council (EIC) hosted the EIC Green Hydrogen Portfolio annual meeting on July 12 in Lyon, bringing together some of the leading minds in the green hydrogen space. Attended by representatives from every EIC-funded Green Hydrogen project, including OHPERA, the event was a key opportunity to discuss progress, policy needs, and business development in this fast-growing sector.
The meeting was structured around three main themes:
- Scientific progress – Sharing advancements in research and development.
- Policy needs – Identifying key areas where policy support is essential for the hydrogen transition.
- Business development – Discussing strategies for scaling up green hydrogen technologies and their market integration.
OHPERA was proud to be part of this important dialogue, contributing insights on the challenges and breakthroughs we’ve experienced in our work. The dynamic format and engaging atmosphere facilitated in-depth discussions between project leaders, EIC Programme Managers, and Project Officers. These conversations highlighted common challenges and the potential solutions needed to accelerate green hydrogen innovation across Europe.
Following the EIC Green Hydrogen Portfolio annual meeting, attendees participated in the International Workshop on Novel Routes for the Production of Green Hydrogen, organised by the ELOBIO project. The workshop featured keynote addresses from some of the leading experts in the field, bringing together around 70 researchers, academics, industry leaders, and policy-makers to discuss new pathways for sustainable hydrogen production.
This collaboration among European innovators underscores the shared commitment to advancing green hydrogen as a cornerstone of the clean energy transition. OHPERA is excited to continue contributing to this crucial work and to collaborate with fellow innovators in the EIC portfolio.
Stay tuned for more updates on our progress in the green hydrogen space!
